We have a captivating on-site opportunity for a creative and skilled Mid-Weight Digital/integrated Copywriter to join the dynamic marketing team, in-house at a global adventure gear company in Cape Town. The successful Copywriter will be responsible for implementing and contributing to digital marketing campaigns.

We're looking for a candidate with a passion for storytelling, a strong command of language, and a keen eye for detail. As an integral part of the brandxe2x80x99s success, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and persuasive copy across various marketing channels to engage their target audience, enhance brand awareness, and drive conversions. Responsibilities

Copywriting Excellence:

  • Create engaging, concise, and persuasive copy for a wide range of marketing materials, including but not limited to website content, social media posts, email campaigns, product descriptions, blog posts, video scripts, press releases, and more.
Brand Voice and Tone:
  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all written content, ensuring it aligns with our brand identity, values, and messaging guidelines.
Collaborative Ideation:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, and marketers, to brainstorm and develop innovative marketing campaigns that effectively communicate key messages and drive desired actions.
Market Research:
  • Conduct research to understand target audience preferences, behaviors, and trends to inform the creation of relevant and impactful copy.
Editing and Proofreading:
  • Review and edit copy to ensure accuracy, grammar, spelling, and adherence to brand guidelines before finalising content for publication.
Adaptation and Optimisation:
  • Continuously refine and optimise copy based on performance metrics, user feedback, and changing marketing objectives to improve conversion rates and overall engagement.
Stay Updated:
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in copywriting and content marketing to contribute fresh ideas and approaches.
Requirements

The successful candidate must have/be:
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably within a marketing or advertising environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of copywriting projects.
  • Relevant writing experience in camping, adventure, outdoor tourism, safari, etc.
  • A deep understanding of branding, messaging, and storytelling techniques.
  • Proficiency in adapting writing styles for different platforms and audiences.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and optimisation techniques is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and receive feedback.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using relevant tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite, content management systems, project management tools).
