Job Description
RPO's client is actively seeking an experienced In-House Channel Controller to join their team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented freight and logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in air and sea freight operations. This is a full-time, onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end freight operations (Air & Sea - Imports and Exports).
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Prepare and submit documentation for customs clearance.
- Ensure all freight shipments comply with customs regulations and procedures.
- Maintain daily status reports and communicate delivery updates.
- Resolve delivery or freight-related issues quickly and effectively.
- Serve as liaison between freight forwarder and client to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in freight forwarding or logistics (Air & Sea).
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
- Own transport is essential.
- Strong knowledge of tariffs, Incoterms, rates, and shipping documentation.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
- High proficiency in Excel and general computer literacy.
- Ability to multitask and handle a high-pressure environment.
