Infrastructure Support Engineer 3rd Line

Education and Certifications:

• MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), Cisco, and AWS certifications.
• ITIL Foundation Level certification.
• A Degree in Information Technology or a related field is advantageous.

Technical Proficiency:

• Excellent experience with infrastructure components like networking, server platforms, storage, application structure (2-tier, 3-tier), identity, and security (encryption, PKI).
• Experience managing and troubleshooting within Office 365, Azure, and private cloud environments.
• Experience with large application estates running IIS (Internet Information Services) and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with configuration management and application management & monitoring tools.
• Strong and demonstrable experience migrating workloads to cloud platforms.
• Solid experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Excellent virtualization skills, including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Remote desktop administration skills.

Cloud Technologies:

• Competency in managing and configuring services in Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Telephony Systems:

• Familiarity with telephony systems, such as Avaya, NICE, or Noetica contact center systems, is advantageous.

Infrastructure Management Tools:

• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts.

Experience:

• Infrastructure Management: Proven experience in managing and supporting IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, and storage systems.
• Cloud Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing and troubleshooting cloud-based solutions, particularly Azure and AWS.
• Project Involvement: Previous involvement in infrastructure projects, including operational improvements and new service delivery solutions.
• Vendor Interaction: Experience in interacting with hardware and software vendors, IT consultants, and contractors.
