Job Description


We are seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic team across our Wadeville and Heidelberg manufacturing sites in Johannesburg. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence through implementing production philosophies, optimizing processes, adopting new technologies, and identifying efficiency gaps.
As the Industrial Engineering Manager, you will evaluate and align production needs with available resources (staff and equipment), lead continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure our operations consistently meet quality and productivity standards.Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • National Diploma or higher qualification in Industrial Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of modern production philosophies and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial engineering role within a complex manufacturing environment (non-standard production lines).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SYSPRO.
  • Valid driverxe2x80x99s license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Industrial Engineering function across both sites, including supervision of chrono analysis activities.
- Evaluate and optimize production processes, methodologies, and workflows.
- Collaborate with sister companies to standardize and implement best practices, reporting templates, and methodologies.
- Assess and align production capacity with workforce availability.
- Manage and justify capital expenditure (CapEx) investments for both locations.
- Oversee facility layout planning and coordination of new construction projects.
- Drive the implementation of the companyxe2x80x99s operational framework through the Operations Committee.
- Lead the team in achieving key performance indicators aligned with company goals.
- Introduce and implement innovative technologies that enhance productivity and ensure strong ROI. Foster and promote the company culture across all levels of the operation.
- Ensure compliance with the company Management System (WMS) and uphold company quality standards.
- Establish and oversee a chrono analysis department to conduct time studies for cost assessment.
- Partner with WTD to implement process improvements and procedures.
- Lead capital equipment evaluations and motivate procurement decisions based on operational needs.KEY COMPETENCIESIdeal Candidate Attributes:
