Industrial Engineer - BritsIndustrial Engineer (Production Manager position) with a minimum of 5 years working experienceThe HMA Group of companies is an international, multi-disciplined engineering, procurement and manufacturing organisation involved with the supply of product and equipment to the mining, processing and power generation industries.Our Brits Factory is looking for a talented Production manager to join the HMA Wear Solutions Division. Reporting to the HMA South Africa Country manager, you will be supported by an established network of engineers, sales people, products and systems.The HMA Wear Solutions division is involved in the design and supply of mineral processing cyclones, abrasion resistant lined piping systems and fabricated chute work (predominately ceramic lined) along with ancillary products used within the mining industry.We are seeking a B.Eng Industrial Engineering with at least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant work experience. Ideally the candidate will have experience with steel fabrication in the mineral processing industry. Experience in abrasion resistant ceramic lining materials and/or piping design would be advantageous.Production Manager Job Duties:Implementation of HMAxe2x80x99s quality standards and systems in South Africa, ensuring the delivery of quality products (for imports, locally manufactured products & on-site installations)Managing the Master Production Schedule, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget and to the customerxe2x80x99s expectations.Supporting regional account managers, fabricators and contractors.Material selection criteria, based on energy exposure to wear linersAppraising new product ideas and/or products.Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.Obtains product market share by working with sales to develop product sales strategies.Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term production forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.Managing the production operations and logistics.Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.Overseeing procurement of raw materials, finished products and services.Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Review technical aspect of Tenders / Enquiries.Assist with Tender Submissions.Assist with Estimating and Quoting.Design complex wear lining layouts within chutes and pipes (i.e. engineered tiles)Measuring and designing monolithic wear related liningsDesign piping systems; as well as understand the dynamics inside slurry pipes.HMA Offers: -A market related salaryAn opportunity to work for an internationally renowned company, with itxe2x80x99s head office in SydneyCompany sponsored internal training in Australia (this will be an ongoing process)The opportunity to work for one of the leading wear solutions companies in the world, with more than 50 yearsxe2x80x99 experience.A fun and flexible workplaceWe are looking for people who are "hands on", can think for themselves and have the drive to get the project completed on time.This is an opportunity to join a well-established, progressive engineering company.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, GraduateAbility to commute/relocate:Brits, North West: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelors (Preferred)Experience:Production Management: 5 years (Required)Language:English (Required)
