Inbound Sales Development Representative

Job Description



As a Sales Development Representative at Sage, you will be the first line contact with prospects and deliver an independent, professional and informative experience. Everyday you will be heavily focused on matching customer needs with a suitable product from the stable of Sage products, and on creating high quality qualified leads for Sales teams. By excelling in this role you will contribute directly to our sales colleagues having a healthy sales pipeline, thus helping our business grow and thrive.




This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week on-site at our Johannesburg office.


Key Responsibilities

, :


- Qualify leads based on the best practice processes before handing over to Sales


- Allocate and distribute qualified leads across the Sales teams for Sage Africa Middle East


- Enter information and maintain records on Salesforce and local CRM systems to ensure accuracy and completeness


- Maintain and exceed the required conversion rate of Leads to Qualified Opportunities while maintaining quality of opportunities


- Address sales consultant queries as required, develop positive internal working relationships within the organisation

Your first 90 days at Sage will allow you to learn the business while also getting up to speed with your roles and responsibilities. You will collaborate with your manager and team to complete the Sage onboarding program. You need to be focused and be able to motivate yourself. Taking positive actions, being open to giving and receiving feedback and guidance is also very important.

- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Sales Related Field


- 2 years of Sales, Inside Sales or Sales Development in a multinational organisation


- Experience using CRM plus an affinity for systems and technology


- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
