Minimum Requirements
Proven HR management experience within a
hospitality, conservation, or lodge environment

In-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Ensure that all

HR policies, procedures, and SOPs are consistently implemented and adhered to.
Maintain compliance with the
Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)

Labour Relations Act (LRA)
, and all relevant South African labour legislation.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, contracts, and personnel files.
Prepare and submit monthly HR and compliance reports to the General Manager and Group HR Department.

Employee Relations
Provide professional advisory and administrative support for disciplinary matters and employee grievances.
Assist in preparing for and representing the company during
CCMA hearings
and other labour-related proceedings.
Promote and sustain positive employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
Support managers in building effective, respectful, and collaborative teams.

Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all lodge and reserve departments.
Draft and issue employment contracts, job offers, and amendments.
Coordinate and conduct structured
induction programmes
for new employees to ensure alignment with
Qwabi Game Reserve's
culture and standards.

Training & Development
Identify training and skills development needs across departments.
Drive
leadership, culture, and succession development initiatives
within the reserve.
Coordinate external and internal training projects in collaboration with the Group HR team and relevant providers.
Encourage continuous learning and professional growth.

Payroll Administration
Support payroll processing through accurate recordkeeping and verification of employee data, attendance, and leave management.
Liaise with finance and payroll teams to ensure accuracy and timely salary payments.

Reporting & HR Projects
Prepare monthly HR metrics and ad hoc reports as required.
Support and lead HR-related projects, including employee wellness, engagement, and recognition programmes.
