Recruiting for an experienced, dynamic, resilient HR Manager to lead and manage the full spectrum of Human Resource functions. National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the LRA, BCEA, EE Act, Skills Development Act, and OHSA. Experiencing in dealing with unions.
Proven experience managing payroll, BBBEE, and Employment Equity submissions.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Resilient and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
High degree of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
Oversee all HR functions for over 300 employees, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including job design, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding.
Provide expert support in employee relations, conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.
Managing relationships with the unions, including monthly regular meetings with management and shop stewards, annual wage negotiations, and all other related union activities.
Administer and oversee monthly payroll processes, working closely with Finance to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation (UIF, PAYE, BCEA).
Ensure timely submission of statutory reports, including Employment Equity (EE), Skills Development (WSP/ATR), and BBBEE compliance requirements.
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices aligned to current labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EE Act, OHSA, etc.).
Provide strategic HR guidance and advisory support to managers and department heads.
Monitor and manage performance management cycles, coaching line managers on KPIs, appraisals, and improvement plans.
Champion employee engagement and wellness initiatives to maintain a motivated and productive workforce.
Coordinate training and development programmes, including skills audits and career development plans.
Manage, control, and support all the requirements for learnerships and apprenticeships Maintain and manage all HR records and systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
