The HR Executive - Employee Relations & Compliance is responsible for maintaining a positive employee relations environment and ensuring full compliance with labor laws, company policies, and call centre operational standards. The role focuses on grievance handling, disciplinary processes, policy implementation, attendance management, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced call centre environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, complaints, and grievances.
Investigate employee issues fairly and confidentially and recommend corrective actions.
Manage disciplinary procedures in line with company policy and labor laws.
Support conflict resolution between employees, supervisors, and management.
Promote a respectful, inclusive, and professional workplace culture.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends related to employee relations issues.
Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal HR policies.
Implement and enforce company rules, code of conduct, and disciplinary procedures.
Maintain up-to-date HR policies and employee handbooks.
Support internal and external audits related to HR compliance.
Ensure statutory documentation and employee records are properly maintained.
Attendance & Conduct Management
Monitor attendance, punctuality, absenteeism, and shift adherence.
Enforce attendance policies and manage corrective actions for violations.
Work closely with operations teams to address behavior and conduct issues on the floor.
Track and report employee relations metrics such as absenteeism and disciplinary cases.
Employee Engagement & Communication
Support employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and retention.
Conduct employee briefings, policy awareness sessions, and HR communications.
Act as a trusted HR representative accessible to call centre agents and supervisors.
HR Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of grievances, disciplinary actions, warnings, and investigations.
Prepare HR reports related to employee relations, compliance, and policy violations.
Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee information.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
2-5 years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations and compliance.
Prior experience in a call centre or BPO environment is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in HR documentation and reporting tools.
