Job Responsibilities:Perform all supporting elements of the HR function in the South African plant.
Creation and maintenance of employee contracts, variations of contracts, confirmation letters relating to HR Policy like maternity or special leave, maintenance of files and all associated employee documentation;
Management of the complete employee life cycle;
Management of the recruitment life cycle;
Involvement with all employee relations, at all levels of complexity;
Liaison with payroll for all change records and management of employee HRIS data records to ensure accuracy and consistency with payroll records and contract specifications;
Coordination and administration of the Pay Review, Benefits Review or Change processes as required;
Support HSE training events and advise on ad-hoc training requirements
Hold the Plant Management team accountable for their role in employee record keeping and policy adherence as well as advising all managers on how best to attract, develop and retain high performing talent.
Provide feedback on quality problems and solutions.
Ensure adherence to Quality systems: IATF 16949 + ISO 9000
Take full responsibility for the Company Assets in the absence of Senior Management.
Monitor plant overtime weekly with Production and Executive Manager and find solutions to ensure overtime is reduced.
Liaise with Financial Manager to ensure monthly salary spent are within budget
Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.
Help Plant Manager to comply with environmental policies and procedures of the company and inform of them of any situation or condition that could have an Environmental impact.
Collaborate with the HR team on various Global and Business Unit projects and initiatives to improve HR functions and employee engagement.
Qualifications:1-2 years experience with Human Resources activities (required); Payroll administration experience and degree in HR or related field (preferred)
Strong understanding of HR principles, labor laws, and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to HR challenges.
Interest in expanding HR scope beyond plant by participating in global HR projects
