RINA is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Advisor to join its office in Cape Town within the Global Human Resources Division.

What your role will involve

RINA is seeking to hire a Human Resources Advisor with a Generalist experience to support its operations in Africa & Middle East region with a focus on South Africa operations. The Human Resources Advisor is an associate level position responsible for the delivery of day-to-day HR support for RINA office in Cape Town in coordination with the Regional Human Resources team. This role reports directly to the Head of Human Resources for Middle East and Africa.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head of HR of the cluster to implement the HR strategy at a local level and ensuring the global HR calendar of activities is achieved within timelines.
  • Performing a range of HR processes, from onboarding to offboarding, which promotes a positive and consistent employee experience
  • Managing employees lifecycle queries, preparing the necessary documents starting from hiring, job changes, until termination of individual labor contract - execution of the entire process in compliance with local laws and company's policies and standards;
  • Management of the employees benefits plans,
  • Coordinating full payroll process including collection, processing and verification of payroll data, working together with internal and external contributors.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; training and development.
  • Maintain employees records according to policy and legal requirements
  • Providing effective first level advice and guidance to colleagues in relation to any concerns, in order support colleagues & managers and maintain governance frameworks
  • Effective and regular communication and engagement activities to maintain a positive colleague experience.
  • Preparing employee and workforce reports: any standard or non-standard HR report needed internally or externally, or any ad-hoc business cases requested.
What we are looking for
  • At least 3 years of experience on a similar position (preferably in multinational companies)
  • Degree/diploma in psychology, economics or business management; HR specialization is a plus
  • Knowledge of South Africa Employment laws/regulations.
  • Knowledge of HR related functions and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Human Resources tools, SAP knowledge is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
