Human Resource Labour Consultant | Kathu Northern Cape
Job Description
A Dental Practice in Kathu, Northern Cape is urgently looking for a Human Resource Labour Consultant to join their dynamic team. As an HR Labour Consultant, you will be responsible for advising and assisting the organisation in labour relations and employment law matters. You will work to ensure compliance with labour regulations, promote positive employee relations, and help resolve labour disputes. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining a productive and harmonious work environment. The practice consists of two receptionists, an admin person and two cleaners, so there is no need for the candidate applying for this role to do payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret labour laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements
- Provide guidance on labour relations strategies and policies
- Assist in labour contract negotiations and serve as a liaison between management and labour unions
- Handle grievances, disputes, and conflicts, working toward resolution and minimizing legal risks
- Ensure the organisation's employment policies and practices are compliant with labour laws
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures
- Foster positive relationships between management and employees
- Mediate and facilitate discussions between employees and management to resolve conflicts
- Provide guidance on disciplinary actions and terminations, ensuring fairness and compliance
- Conduct training sessions for management and staff on labour laws, policies, and best practices
