Job Summary:
The Human Resource Officer is responsible for supporting the HR function by managing employee relations, training, payroll administration, and compliance with labour legislation. The role ensures that HR operations and contributes to the overall efficiency and success of the Organization.
Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Degree in Human Resources Management / IPM Diploma.
  • White Female age 30-40 years.
  • 5 years' proven experience in an HR .
  • Informed knowledge of South African labour laws, HR best practices and Industrial Relations.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, Pastel/Sage and or VIP Payroll).
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Must be able to communicate internationally and cross cultural level.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans, English and must be willing to learn Mandarin.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paste mining industry.
  • Developed organizational, administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Applicants must reside in Polokwane.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Assist with the recruitment and on-boarding process, inclusive of job advertisements, interviews, contracts, and induction.
  • Maintain accurate employee records (contracts, personal files, attendance, leave, etc.)
  • Payroll management, staff benefits administration, and ensure timely submission to Finance/Head Office.
  • Support function to all management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and labor legislation.
  • Assist in performance management processes and disciplinary hearings.
  • Coordinate training sessions and staff development initiatives.
  • Monitor staff compliance with company rules, regulations and standards of employment.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and statistics for management.
  • Manage employee queries and grievances effectively and confidentially.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as recruitment agencies, CCMA, and Department of Labour when required and maintain up to date reports.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety and employment equity requirements.
