Reward Specialist: Permanent Position: Western Cape

The successful candidate will take responsibility to collect and prepare employee related data for input into the relevant HR systems by following the required policies and procedures. Then analyze and transform this data into meaningful HR analytics to support decision making. Seek opportunities for improvement and efficiencies in HR.

Key Performance Areas:

Input for MyHR and Payspace:

  • Input new joiners and terminations (including checklists).
  • Submit medical aid, gap cover, retirement withdrawal, death/disability, company car input.
  • Reconcile and feedback on monthly medical aid and gap cover billing.
  • Conduct overtime verifications.
  • Resolve queries from MyHR and Payspace.
  • Provide advice and support to HRBPs on MyHR.
  • Provide Long Service letters.
Ad hoc:
  • Drafting SARS letters for employees with company cars.
  • Responding to email queries.
  • Send report to IT requesting emps to be added on SAP.
  • Send monthly database to Finance for MXP updates, request that new emps be added on MXP.
HR Analytics:
  • Compile monthly HR dashboards through PowerBi.
  • Validate, structure, combine and interpret internal and external HR data.
  • Discover ways in which data can add value for the business and visualize and model output.
  • Develop and maintain databases and file relevant (business) information.
  • Compile annual Employment Equity report.
  • Compile monthly Employment Equity tracking report.
  • Compile functional YTD HR Reports upon request.
  • Compile adhoc functional HR reports upon request.
Compensation Data:
  • Gather and analyze information from salary surveys and market info within the sector.
  • Compile and submit annual salary surveys.
  • Update and amended salary grids annually, in line with market.
  • Calculate, recommend, and implement annual increases based on a given mandate for all employees.
  • Calculation and implementation of annual bonus payments.
Financial Responsibilities:
  • Provide compensation information to the finance department and management for budget and analysis purposes.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive improvement processes and set priorities to develop, implement and maintain best in class standards and basic conditions.
  • Engagement with HR and Business to share and improve HR information / reporting.
Inbound / Outbound Expats:
  • Work closely with EY to assist with the administration for Expats visas.
  • All letters for visa purposes.
  • Compile annual travel budget.
Job Requirements:

Education:
  • Degree / Diploma in Human Resources-Payroll and Analytics.
  • Global Remuneration Program accreditation

Minimum 5 years experience in Payroll and HR analytics:
  • All employees within the company
  • Salary Survey Consultants
  • Compensation and Benefits Managers in the Industry
  • Payroll Service Provider
  • Active membership of SARA, SAPA and other relevant payroll and C & B networks
