We are seeking a , hands-on Human Resources and Payroll Manager to lead our HR department and serve as a strategic partner to our executive team. This role is a unique blend of high-level organisational strategy and deep-dive operational excellence, particularly within payroll and compliance.
The ideal candidate is a "player-coach" who can manage a generalist team while remaining the primary custodian of our end-to-end payroll and industrial relations functions.
End-to-End Payroll & Benefits Administration
Full Payroll Cycle using Payspace and Pastel Payroll.
Benefits Oversight: Manage the administration of Medical Aid and Pension schemes, acting as the primary liaison between staff and service providers.
Strategic Management & Leadership
Work directly with Senior and Executive Management to align HR initiatives with overarching business goals.
Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of HR Generalists to ensure departmental KPIs are met.
Advise leadership on workforce planning and task alignment across various departments.
3. Compliance, Skills Development & EE
Drive recruitment strategies that strictly align with the company's EE Plan and transformation targets.
SETA Administration: Manage all HWSETA requirements, including the administration of learnership programs.
Develop and submit the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR), ensuring the company maximizes its mandatory and discretionary grants.
4. Employee & Industrial Relations
Act as the official company representative during union negotiations and consultative meetings.
Manage all CCMA proceedings, including preparation and being the employer contact for the consultant representatives, ensuring the company's interests are protected and labor law is upheld.
