Our client in the Manufacturing sector based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a HR Officer.

Requirements:

-Minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in HR/Administration and payroll in a manufacturing environment.
-Payroll system experience.
-Experience with statutory and SARS matters (EMP 501).
-HR related degree or diploma.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
-Sound people skills and a team player.
-Self-motivation and multi-tasking.
-Work independently and take initiative.
-Attention to detail.
-Good communication skills.
-Extremely confidential.
-Understanding of Labour related legislation.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

-Promote companyxe2x80x99s Core Operating Principles of Safety and Health, Environmental Stewardship, Highest Ethical Behavior, Respect for People and Quality throughout the company.
-Controlling, coordinating, and Processing payroll.
-Get authorization for Payroll changes then process.
-Payroll related admin: proper records; changes; benefits admin and liaison with providers, exits and new employees.
-Liaising with all 3rd parties relating to the payroll e.g., medical aids, Retirement funds, garnishees, loans.
-Old Mutual payroll servicing reconciliation and payroll upload each month.
-Liaising with staff regarding payroll queries.
-Generating various payroll/HR reports.
-Facilitation of disability applications and death claims.
-Oversee all leave types to ensure aligned with payroll.
-Facilitating fund claims: retirement, medical aid, funeral, etc.
-Facilitating quarterly and annual medical aid and retirement funding presentations and liaising with provider on going for induction of new employees and presentations for employees.
-Conduct disciplinary enquiries for minor offences.
-Coordinate MG and DG (applications, processing, and submission).
-Legislative reporting: Collection of information for EEA2, EEA4 report; Chieta (ATR, WSP) and present to Employment Equity for final submission.
-Assist in information gathering and skills calculations for BBBEE verification, Collate documentation and co-ordinate audit.
-Recruitment, selection, and placement for B/C level positions: draft adverts; sourcing and Screening of candidates; interviews; deviations; letters of offer and all records and admin related to placement.
-Promote positive employee morale.
-Member of Employment Equity Committee and Events Committee.
