Salary: Market related Location: Centurion Job type: Permanent Industry: Pharmaceutical Benefit Management Reference Number: CWR.MS.HRO.27112023 COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Our client is a South African pharmaceutical benefits management (PBM) organization and specialise in electronic claims processing and the management of medicine benefits. They are looking for a HR Officer to join their team. JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • To provide support to the Human Resources department in implementing people processes, improving HR processes, practices, and systems on HR life cycle activities.
  • To aid in workforce planning, resourcing, management of the employee life cycle, managing organisational effectiveness, reward, talent management and capability development.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Work force planning, Recruitment, on-boarding and off boarding of employees
  • May include but may not be limited to sourcing for candidates; posting open jobs; screening resumes and applications; scheduling and conducting interviews; conducting the appropriate background checks; offering employment, and with the HR & Payroll Administrator prepare the offer letter; facilitate the new employee induction program, and ensure all new hires are enrolled in the companys benefit programs.
  • Assist management with workforce planning and then recruitment and selection by developing Competency Based Interview guides.
  • Management of the CV database with information of all interviewed candidate information in terms of CV, interview date, comments, etc.
Learning & Development
  • Conduct learning needs analysis in line with the Skills Development Act.
  • Source and recommend learning/training and development programs, in line with the needs analysis, that are cost-effective.
  • Track all learning programs and employee participation and follow up with managers and employees to measure utilization of skills learned as well as evaluate additional training resources or needs.
  • Evaluate ROI on learning interventions.
HR Audits, HR policies & HR Risk & Compliance
  • HR Audits - Assist payroll administrator to conduct audit of all employee files
  • Employment Equity develop a project plan and rollout for the 5-year EE plan. This includes consultation with staff and completion of the required EE documents.
  • Assist with updates to HR policies and conduct information sessions for all staff
  • Responsible for tracking HR legislative submissions for WSP, EE and ROE
Performance Management
  • Assist managers with writing and updating job descriptions.
  • Facilitate development and review of KRAs and other appraisal documents for staff.
  • Develop a rollout plan for conducting appraisals including loading templates on the HR system.
  • Assist managers with the process of conducting appraisals and drawing up development plans for each employee.
  • Develop a follow-up process for the HR manager to ensure that the action and developmental plans agreed at the appraisals are actioned and followed up
Projects
  • Employee Value Proposition : develop project plan to rollout EVP to staff
  • Employee Wellness: develop a plan for the wellness project that includes liaison with providers and roll out to all staff.
  • Internal Staff Communication: assist with developing a communication plan for staff covering topics and timelines
  • Propose strategies to promote staff retention and decrease staff turnover
  • Ad hoc projects
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Grade 12
  • Degree / Diploma in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology or Law
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • 3 - 5 years of solid HR & IR experience in a dynamic, high-performance environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of recruitment practices, employment equity, performance management and skills development
  • International experience will be highly advantageous
  • Able to understand and speak Afrikaans
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
