Location: Isando, JohannesburgSalary: R75k Monthly CTC plus benefitsBenefits: Company Car, Company Cell phone, Leave (15 day), Fuel, Company contribution towards medical aid - 50%, Company contribution towards Provident fund - 9%About the job: To plan, implement and organize the various HR Processes across the business and ensuring effective HR Service delivery at functional and branch level, whilst at all times upholding the high standards of the companyDesired Experience & QualificationGrade 12Diploma / Degree in Human Resources or Business-related fieldGood working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel - experience with VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables essential)Minimum of 3 years HR, IR, and project management experienceSolid experience in IR and union negotiationsGood understanding and knowledge of current and relevant labor legislationMinimum of 2 years' industry-specific knowledgeDuties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to)Compliance & GovernanceEnsure adherence to MIBCO / BCEA legislations across branches and Head OfficeEnsure compliance with labor legislation and provide advisory support to management to minimize risk to the companyEnsure all HR Policies are compliant with applicable laws and kept up-to-dateEnsure all entities in the portfolio are compliant with Employment Equity (EE) requirementsCommittees are establishedQuarterly meetings are heldUpdated EE files are maintained at branchesManagement of all Health and Safety processes, ensuring compliance with the OHS ActImplement minimum control standards and OHS legal compliance registerCoordinate annual OHS audits at all locations and ensure full complianceEmployee Documentation & RecordsEnsure all employees in the portfolio have up-to-date contracts and signed policies on file; conduct regular auditsEnsure policy files are distributed and explained to all branches; ensure all staff acknowledge company policiesEnsure all employees have job descriptions, offers of appointment, and employment contracts on fileEnsure proper job grading of positions and alignment of salary bands to job gradesRecruitment & OnboardingEnsure adherence to the company's recruitment policyImplement end-to-end recruitment process (sourcing, interviewing, selection) at branch/operational levelsImplement pre-onboarding and onboarding processes for new employees at branch/operational levelsTrack probation processes and support management in implementing probation proceduresEnsure background screening is conducted for all new hiresEnsure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are signed with all agenciesKeep recruitment costs minimal; use agencies only for specialized/skilled rolesUtilize alternative recruitment platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed) as needed to enhance candidate sourcingIndustrial Relations (IR)Management of union relationshipsLead negotiations, litigation, CCMA, and Bargaining Council casesEnsure managers are trained to initiate and chair hearingsAssist management in drafting chargesProvide guidance to the business on all IR mattersDeliver a cost-effective IR serviceBranch Engagement & CommunicationConduct regular visits to branches within the portfolio and engage with staff at all levelsBuild sustainable relationships with senior management (Operations Directors, FD, Financial Managers, CEO, etc.)Actively promote training across branchesConduct HR Connect sessions with staff as a refresher on HR policiesHR Projects & Change ManagementFacilitate/coordinate the implementation of onboarding programs for new hiresLead or contribute to HR-related projects and change management initiatives
