Company in the Financial service Industry is looking for an HR Generalist / Administrator to join their team in Centurion. Essential Requirments

  • Diploma in HR or related Field
  • 2 - 3 Years experience in HR or related field
Duties and responsibilities consist of administrative support to the Human Resources Manager toward all aspects of the Human Resources Department
  • Compiling and keeping records and recording data of employees
  • Compiling and typing reports from employment records, filing employment records, searching employee files, and furnishing information to authorised persons.
  • Answer general employee questions regarding salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
  • Draft and arrange for advertising or posting job vacancies and notify internal employees of position availability.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents on personnel activities.
  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
  • Gather personnel records from other departments or employees.
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate the qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
  • Process, verify, and maintain employee-related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
  • Record data for each employee, including addresses, remuneration, absences, number of sales or production, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
  • Request information from previous employers and other references to determine applicants' employment acceptability.
  • Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR department, including but not limited to managing calendars, scheduling interviews, and maintaining HR records.
  • Employee Onboarding: Assist in onboarding by preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Generate reports as needed.
  • Payroll Administration: Assist with benefits enrolment, claims processing, and addressing employee inquiries regarding benefits programs.
  • Recruitment Support: Coordinate job postings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates to ensure a seamless recruitment process.
  • Compliance: Assist in ensuring HR policies and procedures comply with legislation. Prepare the necessary documentation for audits.
  • Training and Development: Support training and development initiatives by coordinating training sessions,
  • Events and Initiatives: Assist in organising HR-related events, such as employee recognition programs, wellness programs, and team-building activities.
  • General Office Support: Perform HR-related office tasks as needed, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and handling incoming calls.
Soft Skills:
  • Organised and Detail-Oriented: The candidate should have a strong sense of organisation and an eye for detail. They will manage HR records, schedule interviews, and handle administrative tasks, therefore attention to detail is crucial.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication is essential. The candidate should be able to interact professionally with employees, candidates, and external contacts.
  • Confidentiality: Given the sensitive nature of HR work, the candidate must have high discretion and the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost care.
  • Multitasking Abilities: The candidate often has multiple tasks. The candidate should be adept at managing and prioritising tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
