What You'll Do:



1. Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning



Align workforce strategy with business goals

Identify skill gaps and drive reskilling/upskilling initiatives in collaboration with L&D.

Design retention programs and anticipate workforce needs to minimize understaffing

Drive BBBEE and EE transformation initiatives and monitor compliance together with the HRPM

Optimize organizational design to improve productivity and business performance.

Collaborate on recruitment strategies and compensation plans to attract and retain top talent.

Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to help lead recruitment process improvements and employer branding strategies.

Leadership Advisory & People Management



Conduct regular meetings with business leaders to advise on HR matters.

Deliver coaching and consulting support for people-related challenges

Culture and employee experience



Recommend and implement culture-building initiatives (e.g., cultural transformation).

Drive employee wellness and DEI programs.

Reduce unwanted turnover and maintain high morale through proactive interventions.

Conduct climate surveys, manage recognition programs, and roll out values and ethics.

HR Operations and Data Analytics



Maintain employee data on the Psiber Labour Net system, including employee personal information in line with POPIA

Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy of employee data

Ensure Oracle employee database is accurate and actions updated timeously

Monitor HRIS, exit trends, turnover, and retention; provide actionable insights.

HR operations - Oversee day to day administration, including onboarding, terminations and benefits processing

Performance and Talent Management



Drive performance appraisal processes and individual development plans.

Monitor and report on performance improvement plans (PIP's) for all team members who have not met performance targets

Ensure the disciplinary and recruitment spreadsheets/trackers are updated.

Implement performance management support for line managers (mentoring, career planning).

Employee Relations & Compliance



Maintain consistent application of group processes and manage disciplinary actions.

Updating of the Disciplinary Tracker

Measure ER case closure timelines

Update and implement company policies and procedures.

Enforce compliance checks, polygraph testing, and prevent re-employment of terminated staff.

Provide proactive advisory support to line managers on IR issues and conflict resolution in a timeous manner.

Other responsibilities



Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management to support operational needs

Manage long service awards, internship programs, and ad hoc HR projects

Support the Summerveld, Ashburton and Scottsville offices with all HR related initiatives

What You'll Need



Matric or equivalent

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field.

SABPP registration (advantageous)

Post Graduate qualification in HR(advantageous)

Certificate in HRIS and data Analytics (advantageous)

A clear criminal and credit record.


What We're Looking For



Minimum of 5-8 years of HR generalist administration and support

HRIS experience with Oracle or any HRIS system

Good understanding of SDA, EEA, BCEA, and LRA, BBBEE

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Proven experience in Strategic HR initiatives, talent management and employee relations.

Good business acumen

A meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills.

A proactive problem-solver who thrives under pressure and takes initiative.

Flexible with the adaptability to multitask.

Ability to work with little to no supervision.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in the completion of tasks.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, where teamwork is essential.

A professional who values discretion understands the importance of confidentiality, honesty and reliability.
