In this hands-on role, you'll provide end-to-end support across recruitment, HR administration, scheduling, compliance, and office support.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment
Handle recruitment from start to finish: sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
Draft and post job advertisements across various platforms.
Conduct reference checks and manage all candidate communication.
Liaise with internal departments on placement progress.
Maintain and update candidate databases.
HR Administration & Compliance
Prepare employment contracts, annexures, and related HR documentation.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.
Keep employee records up to date (physical and digital).
Coordinate and maintain staff leave, timesheets, and other HR forms.
Maintain complete and up-to-date staff files.
Assist in preparing documentation for CCMA processes and hearings.
Support compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
Conduct or coordinate regular health and safety inspections.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols across the workplace.
Timetables, Rosters & Staff Scheduling
Create and manage staff timetables and rosters.
Handle daily staffing issues related to shift changes and absences.
Plan ahead to ensure operational coverage and smooth staff rotations.
Payroll Support & Hours Submission
Collect, verify, and calculate employee hours for payroll submission.
Submit approved hours to payroll on time each pay cycle.
Assist with monthly payroll checks and coordinate with payroll providers.
Support payroll queries from employees and resolve issues timeously.
Office & General Administration
Support the HR office with general admin: filing, scanning, and phone reception.
Manage stationery and office supply needs.
Assist with ad-hoc administrative HR support.
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Human Resources.
Minimum
2 years
experience in
HR Administration and Recruitment.
Experience in retail with multiple outlets (Minimum 2 Years).
Familiarity with HR compliance, CCMA processes, and labour legislation.
Understanding of health & safety procedures in the workplace.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Detail-oriented, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality.
