Cape Town - CBD - HR Administrator
Our client seeking an HR / Office Administrator to join their Head Office team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of both HR processes and office operations.
This is a critical role that combines HR administration, office management, and direct support to the COO and broader management team. If you enjoy variety in your day-to-day tasks, and are proactive in your approach, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Your responsibilities would include the following:
HR Administration

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Oversee probation period reviews and assist new employees in settling in.
  • Support performance management in collaboration with the COO.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation related to performance reviews, warnings, and disciplinaries.
  • Coordinate Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting.
  • Partner with managers on workforce planning and training schedules.
Office Administration
  • Supervise the receptionist and office cleaner, ensuring smooth coverage.
  • Handle daily office operations including ordering supplies (stationery, kitchen, etc.).
  • Manage office logistics such as parking, maintenance issues, and supplier/agent gifts.
  • Oversee SharePoint folders, ensuring documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with organising team-building events, year-end functions, and cultural initiatives.
COO Support
  • Maintain confidential HR records and reports on SharePoint.
  • Pull staff and performance-related reports when required.
  • Update and communicate emergency and compliance documentation.
  • Manage leave schedules across divisions.
  • Liaise with service providers (telecoms, insurers, building management, etc.).
  • Drive the company's CSI initiatives.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to the CEO, COO, and management teams.
Requirement for the role:
  • Previous experience in HR administration and office management is absolutely critical for your application to be considered.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills--approachable and people-focused.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
