Cleaning common areas: This may include lobbies, hallways, elevators, and other areas that are accessible to residents. Common area cleaning duties typically include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, polishing, floor polishing, carpet cleaning, and emptying rubbish bins.
Assisting with the lifting of heavy-duty items within the common areas and assisting with moving residents' furniture and gym equipment.
Reporting maintenance issues: Houseman may identify maintenance issues in residents' rooms or common areas, such as broken or malfunctioning equipment, and report them to the maintenance team.
Interacting with residents: A Houseman may interact with residents while performing their duties.
Following safety procedures: Houseman must follow safety procedures to ensure their own safety and the safety of residents, such as using appropriate cleaning products and wearing protective gear.
Following policies and procedures: Houseman must follow policies and procedures as outlined by management.
