Hospital Clinical Coder - Cape TownOur client, a private hospital based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town are currently recruiting for a Hospital Clinical Coder who will be responsible, in collaboration with the Hospital Case Management Teams for liaising between the patients, treating clinicians and managed care organisations in order to provide clinical coding that is updated in accordance with the patient response to treatment in order to receive reimbursement from funders.We are looking for an energised, accurate team contributor for this position in which you will assess clinical statements and convert this information into ICD 10 and CPT coding on the patient account.The account will reflect the correct treatment path, clinical severity and patient condition through accuracy and completeness of coding.Liaison with patient, medical doctors, and medical schemes to update clinical codes in relation with the patientxe2x80x99s condition.The position will focus on compliance management, rejection management, utilisation review, internal and external customer support. Your strong communication skills coupled with previous experience in this role with the drive and commitment to excellence are attributes we are looking for in the successful candidate.Requirements:Nursing qualification or equivalent (minimum NQF 4)Must be SANC RegisteredICD 10 Coder or equivalent qualification (must be able to produce the certificates)A minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Clinical Coding in a Hospital EnvironmentOwn reliable transport - this is a must as there is no public transport to this particular locationMust reside in the Northern Suburbs, be able to work a full day in office and be able to at times work extended hoursThis is an equal opportunity employer, and the position is open to all candidates who meet the above criteria.On offer:A permanent position with a salary which is market related and based on the candidatesxe2x80x99 years of experience in the specific role.
