Job Description
Job Summary:
The Horticulturist will be responsible for plant care, propagation, and maintenance. He/She will ensure plants are healthy and thriving.
Key Responsibilities
:- Plant care and maintenance (watering, pruning, pest management)
- Propagate plants using various techniques (seeds, cuttings, grafting)
- Monitor plant health and diagnose issues
- Develop and implement plant care plans
- Collaborate with Nursery Manager on plant selection and procurement
- Maintain nursery records and inventory
- Provide customer advice on plant care and selection
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Horticulture, Botany, or related field
- 1+ year of experience in horticulture or related field
- Strong knowledge of plant care and propagation
- Practical skills in plant identification and care
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: R4500,00 - R6500,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
Nongoma, KwaZulu-Natal (Nongoma, Zululand): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
