Job Summary

We are looking for a professional, hard working and qualified Health and Safety Officer with Retail industry experience to join our Industrial division towards Olifantsfontein.

Duties:

You will be responsible for conducting NOSA and SHE audits

Drafting and implementing SHE policies

Perform accident and incident investigations

Drive health and safety compliance when it comes to contractors and sub-contractors

Conduct SHE committee meetings

Draft and submit SHE reports

Regular training to be provided to staff

Keep abreast of the legislation and comply with the Department of Labour

Travel to sites

Must haves:

Matric

Relevant tertiary qualification

No less than 5 years' working experience, as a Health and Safety Officer (working experience in the retail sector, warehouse, bit a bit of logistics exposure)

SAMTRAC qualification or equivalent

Office 365 proficient

Incident and accident investigation qualification OR experience

Risk Assessor qualification OR experience

Fall protection planner / developer qualification OR experience

Medically fit

Detail orientated

Deadline driven

Excellent English communication

Professional and ethical

Reliable

Organised

Valid drivers' license and own reliable transport

Clear criminal and fraud record

Excellent references - track record
