Job Summary

The Health and Safety Construction Officer is responsible for ensuring that construction sites comply with health and safety regulations and standards. The Health and Safety Construction Officer is responsible for identifying potential hazards, developing safety procedures, and training staff on safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
• Train staff on safety procedures and protocols, including the proper use of safety equipment and tools.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine the cause and develop strategies to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Communicate with management and staff on safety issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure that all safety equipment and tools are properly maintained and replaced as necessary.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential safety hazards.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest health and safety regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction health and safety.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in safety equipment and tools.
