Job Description


Purpose of the Role:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to Exco regarding product integrity.
  • Oversee the sound development of their products within the defined quality parameters, thereby promoting the integrity of the product.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Honoursxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99 Degree (NQF 8) in Engineering, Commerce (MBA) or a relevant equivalent business-related qualification.
  • Min 10 to 12 years experience in product management.
  • At least 5 years experience in General Management at a Senior level.
The Job:
  • Provide input into the departmental strategy and policies, ensuring that it is aligned to the company's strategy, and communicate and clarify the vision and strategic goals of the department to own team.
  • Formulate strategy, policy and procedures for the division, in support of the departmental strategy.
  • Create a performance culture within the division, define performance expectations and conduct effective performance management of direct reports.
  • Prioritise work, manage resource utilisation, as well as the quality of deliverables, and control costs ensuring alignment with the related functions and organisational value chain.
  • Oversee and authorise the provision of management information for the purpose of decision-making.
  • Develop and implement the divisional operational plan to ensure achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
  • Convene industry forums to share information on developments with industry leaders and share information on matters of strategic interest to maintain product integrity.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure compliance to policy, procedures and audit findings to mitigate risk in the division.
  • Oversee the total quality management.
  • Oversee the integrity of the products through the formulation of broad-based product awareness, quality management and technology solution strategies.
  • Oversee the intellectual property rights through the relevant legislative frameworks.
