What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

Curro Holdings seeks to appoint a Head of Sports (full-time) at Curro Sandown in Cape Town to commence duties in January 2026

Key Performance Areas
Day-to-day management, control, and operation of the sports department
Set and maintain the highest standards for attendance, behaviour, and dress as an example to the department
Build and foster excellent relationships with teachers and learners
Develop and promote a positive atmosphere of teamwork within the department
Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Keep up-to-date with coaching practices and lead forward-planning in the department
Establish and uphold common standards of practice, promoting school aims and ethos
Contribute to school planning and delivery of activities
Develop effective links with partner schools and the community, promoting the school
Undertake professional coaching duties in compliance with school policies and procedures
Encourage excellence in coaching and learning, supporting and enhancing the coaching practice of others
Show personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the school's values and ethos
Qualifications, experience and skills
An appropriate qualification from a recognised institution
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position
Current SACE registration
Leadership skills to develop, manage, and grow the sports department
Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work professionally with management, staff, and parents
Skilled, effective sports practitioner
Excellent communication skills
Problem-solving orientation and ability to provide feasible solutions
Effective leadership qualities with the ability to deliver professional advice
A clear criminal record
