The Head of School: Commerce is responsible for ensuring an increased throughput rate for related qualifications. It is their responsibility to ensure Teaching and Learning strategies are adapted and implemented effectively and consistently across campuses that offer qualifications in the commerce faculty.Duties & Responsibilities:Lead the qualifications in the Commerce Faculty by monitoring, identifying and acting to mitigate risk areas that would impede student success

• Manage the pace of content delivery across sites
• Results analysis and subsequent interventions across sites
• Coordination of module discipline specialists
• Interaction with other stakeholders (e.g. T&L specialists)

Support the Programme Coordination on site in identifying and resolving subject or content related items in the Commerce Faculty

• Items raised as a result of student interaction
• Subject/content specific lecturer development
• Subject specific intervention decisions

Accountable for ensuring relevant feedback and development between brand and IIE/CAT is actioned timeously to improve student success

• Coordination of action items raised by the brand and IIE CAT team
• Items raised for consideration at governance meetings
• Programme Review
• Lead brand involvement in content development

Ensuring the relevance of content to industry standards

• Industry-relevant studies
• Lecturing
• Content development
• Moderation of assessments

Minimum Requirements:QualificationsMinimum

• Master's qualification (NQF Level 9) in Commerce

ExperienceMinimum

• 5 years of experience as a Business Manager, Accountant or Logistics Manager.
• 3 years of experience Lecturing experience in a Higher Education setting.

Advantageous

• 3 years of educational coordination and management experience.
• 5 years as a Business Manager, Accountant or Logistics manager
• 3 years Lecturing experience in a Higher Education setting
