The Head of Programmes will lead the strategic development and implementation of JGF's programme portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organisation's long-term vision and impact goals. This role combines strategic foresight with operational excellence to deliver high-quality, measurable programmes that support the fellowship's objectives and broader educational transformation.

Direct the formulation, renewal, and execution of JGF's strategy in collaboration with senior leadership.
Translate strategic imperatives into actionable programme roadmaps linked to desired impact.
Align programme development and implementation with the organisation's Theoryof Change.

Programme Development & Implementation
Lead the design, development, and assessment of new programmes, including content, curriculum, and outcomes.
Oversee integrated programme delivery planning and execution across all phases.
Monitor programme health and analyse outcome reports to inform continuous improvement.
Support piloting and launching of new initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Research &Stakeholder Engagement
Conduct research on educational trends and programme viability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, education sector stakeholders, and service providers.
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans to enhance programme impact.
Financial & Risk Management
Prepare and manage programme budgets, ensuring financial accountability and alignment with organisational priorities.
Identify and mitigate risks related to funding changes and reputational exposure.
People & Reporting
Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the programme team.
Compile and present strategic and operational reports to the board, executive committee, and other key stakeholders
Experience and Qualifications
Education:
Master's Degree (NQF Level 8 or 9) in Management Sciences, Education, or Social
Sciences.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in in programme development, implementation, and strategic leadership.
Proven track record in managing educational programmes within the South African context.
Experience in stakeholder engagement, financial oversight, and organisational leadership.

High-level diplomatic and sensitive engagement in both public and private sector.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
