Job Description

Operational Leadership



Lead and manage all manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently achieved.



Oversee machine shop activities including CNC machining, laser cutting, and precision fabrication.



Ensure effective utilization of resources (machines, materials, manpower) to optimize productivity and reduce waste.



Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.



Team & People Management



Direct, mentor, and manage a team of supervisors, operators, and technicians working in a 24/7 operational environment.



Establish performance targets, training programs, and succession planning for manufacturing staff.



Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork across shifts and departments.



Quality & Compliance



Oversee quality control systems to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications.



Monitor production processes to detect deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions.



Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly followed, maintaining a safe work environment.



Maintenance & Asset Management



Plan and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime.



Oversee procurement, calibration, and maintenance of tools, machines, and equipment.



Ensure effective asset lifecycle management and cost control of production equipment.



Procurement & Supply Chain



Manage material procurement to ensure availability of raw materials and consumables without production delays.



Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.



Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing holding costs.



Strategic & Financial Management



Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including cost control, labor planning, and capital expenditures.



Provide strategic input into capacity planning, technology upgrades, and long-term operational improvements.



Support business growth by aligning manufacturing capabilities with customer and market demands.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).



8-12+ years' progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.



Proven experience in machine shop operations (CNC machining, laser cutting, fabrication).



Strong background in quality control, maintenance planning, and procurement.



Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and 24/7 operations.



Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
