Our client is looking for their Fleet Manager to join their company,Requirements:
5-7 years of relevant experience managing a logistics team or similar-sized fleet (Essential)
Experience in the Logistics industry
Grade 12 (Essential)
Degree in Fleet Management or related field
Key activities:
Oversee, manage and report on the maintenance costs of the national fleet for all services, tyres and fuel cost.
Ensure internal expectations are met in all aspects of reliability, communication and on time performance for the national vehicle fleet, this includes owned, rental and owner driver fleets.
Analyse fleet processes and identify and implement new procedures as needed to ensure performance of fleet locations and inventory are efficient and within budget.
Report on monthly / daily fleet costs aligned to budget and forecast.
Recommend fleet mix to operational teams to deliver service yet optimise cost efficiencies.
Partner with IT and Outsourced service providers to manage, develop and implement software solutions/technology to streamline practices and improve efficiency e.g EQSTRA, Shell-SA, BP
Manage vendor and stakeholder networks and relationships to improve service and cost-effective delivery. This includes R&M and tyre suppliers.
Build effective relationships with all stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are met in accordance with service level agreements, plans, policies and procedures.
Oversee direct reports outputs and provide clear direction to the team.
Track and optimise the team's performance.
Provide overall guidance, support and development to the team.
Set team goals in line with overall business needs.
