Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a globally dispersed team of accounting professionals, ensuring talent development and high performance.
- Oversee financial reporting and analysis in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, and internal policies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Drive standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements in financial processes.
- Act as a key liaison between regional finance teams and corporate finance leadership.
- Support external audit processes and manage relationships with auditors.
- Solve complex accounting challenges and provide strategic financial guidance.
- Partner with business units to enhance financial decision-making and reporting accuracy.
- Lead change management initiatives related to finance transformation.
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent qualification.
- 10-15 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with at least 10 years in a multinational organization leading global teams.
- Expertise in IFRS, US GAAP, and SOX compliance.
- Strong background in finance process improvements and business transformation.
- Experience in the mining sector is highly preferred.
