Job Description
An opportunity is available for a
Head of Finance to provide strategic leadership and financial oversight for a company''s financial planning division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the sustained profitability of the business.
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in accounting, financial management, or management accounting, and be a registered chartered accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. An MBA is preferred.
Key requirements include:
Experience: 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in financial management within the insurance and financial services industry, with 3-5 years in a management role.
Knowledge: Familiarity with the financial services, health, insurance, and investment industries, including relevant regulatory requirements. You must also have knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and risk management principles.
The role involves leading the finance function, driving a client-centric environment, and overseeing budgeting and financial reporting processes. The individual will also be responsible for leading and managing a team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
