Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and solutions-driven Head of Engineering & Maintenance to lead a multi-site maintenance operation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, exceptional planning ability, and a passion for maintaining the highest operational and safety standards. This role requires strategic oversight of all engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, preventative maintenance, and long-term asset management. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all engineering and maintenance functions across multiple sites. Plan; supervise, and implement maintenance and service schedules for equipment and vehicles. Work closely with hotel management and department heads to ensure maintenance requests are resolved efficiently. Implement and monitor a preventative maintenance program in line with warranties, safety legislation, and best practices. Oversee engineering projects and ensure secure, safe usage of all equipment. Manage; train, and develop a skilled maintenance team. Source and negotiate with reliable suppliers, maintaining approved service provider relationships. Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, including CAPEX and operational expenses. Maintain accurate records of inspections, stock, purchasing, and repairs. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards. Requirements Matric; a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Facilities, or Maintenance is advantageous. Minimum of 5 years' management experience in Engineering/Facilities/Maintenance. Proven experience in hotel or property maintenance is highly beneficial. Strong skills in MS Office, budgeting (CAPEX & OPEX), and preventative maintenance planning. Excellent problem-solving, innovation, and attention to detail. Valid driver's license. Candidates based in Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Paarl, or surrounding areas will be given preference. Personal Attributes Efficient; solution-oriented, and proactive under pressure.
