Job Summary
HEAD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS / CENTURION, JHB - This position requires a Wireman's Licence or Master Electrician certification and proven experience in MV/LV systems, generators, and utilities. This position focuses on property development projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Wireman's Licence / Master Electrician (mandatory).
- Extensive experience with generators, MV/LV fault finding, reticulation, and MV switching (advantageous).
- Strong electrical problem-solving and managerial skills.
- Expertise in tendering, costing, and procurement processes.
- Utilities experience and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Electrical installations and maintenance within the property management division.
- Energy management and efficiency initiatives across all buildings.
- Providing solar, generator, UPS, and related solutions to properties and tenants.
- Planning & Design: Interpret blueprints, develop electrical plans, estimate costs, and manage timelines.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with NEC/SANS codes.
- Project Management: Coordinate trades, manage procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Installation: Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose and repair MV/LV systems, motors, and controls; perform preventative maintenance.
- Leadership & Training: Mentor junior electricians, enforce best practices, and foster a culture of safety and quality.
