Head of Department PMO (FinTech or Banking) - Century City - R1,5 Mil-R1,8 Mil CTC Per Annum

The PMO Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing project management activities within the organisation. They will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective project management processes and methodologies to ensure the successful delivery in line with the companys objectives. They will act as a central point of coordination and control, ensuring project teams adhere to standards and best practices while providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a PMO strategy that aligns with the companys overall goals and objectives.

Establish and maintain project management processes and methodologies that ensure efficient and effective project delivery.

Manage PMO staff, including setting performance expectations and providing coaching and development opportunities.

Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of PMOs and projects.

Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Manage the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting and risk management, including identifying, evaluating and managing project risks and issues and ensuring that contingency plans are in place.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners to ensure that their needs and expectations are met and to drive successful projects.

Represent the PMO at HOD meetings.

Ensure personal understanding of TEP products and their functioning at a level needed for supporting projects

Key Performance Indicators:

PMO strategy

Development and implementation of a PMO strategy aligned with the companys goals and objectives.

Alignment of PMO activities with business priorities and strategic initiatives.

Project process

Establishment and maintenance of effective project management processes and methodologies.

Adherence to project management best practices and standards.

Staff management

Performance management of PMO staff, including setting clear performance expectations.

Provision of coaching, development opportunities and support to PMO team members.

KPI monitoring

Definition and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the PMO and projects.

Regular reporting on KPIs to stakeholders and senior management.

Project delivery

Timely and successful delivery of projects within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.

Achievement of project objectives and deliverables.

Financial and risk management

Effective financial management of projects, including budgeting forecasting and cost control.

Identification, evaluation and management of project risks and issues.

Implementation of risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Client management

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners.

Meeting client needs and expectations by ensuring successful project delivery.

Regular communication and feedback from clients on project satisfaction and performance.

Representation in HOD meetings

Active participation and representation of the PMO in Head of Department (HOD) meetings.

Contribute to strategic discussions, decision making and alignment of PMO activities with overall organisational objectives.

Technical understanding

Demonstrated understanding of the companys TEP products and their functioning at a level to support projects.

Continues learning and knowledge updates on TEP products and related technologies.

Continuous improvement

Implementation of process improvement and best practices within the PMO.

Proactive identification and implementation of opportunities to enhance project delivery and PMO effectiveness.
