About the job

We are looking for a Business Development Lead to take our SAAS project to market within the Health/Med Technology space. Our clients target customers are enterprises, and B2B experience is therefore vital

Start-up experience and the abiity to "fast-track" projects is vital.

Main Accountabilities:

Strategic Focus:

Develop a strategic roadmap for rapid entry for our product range

  • Tailor a practical strategy which the product managers and reps can implement nationally.
  • Develop the mission, budget & supply chain processes, internal networks.
  • Have strong C-Suite relationships at head office and with area and business managers.
Key Operational Objectives:

Identify key influencers in the and Tender process (nationally, regionally)
  • Identify key influencers (business managers, etc.) nationally.
  • Secure regular meetings at MANCO & expert committee meetings
  • Secure release of local RFQs for specific product range.
  • Achieve budget for the specific product range/s.
  • Develop solid relationships with all business and area managers, expert committee, and C-Suite.
  • Identify and maintain key relationships that influence budgeting
  • Increase brand visibility by gaining access to critical conferences
  • Manage the development of relationship with distributors and customers.
  • Achieve Market Share, Sales, and Profit objectives.
  • Developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Follow up and analyzing sales.
  • Develop sales, promotion and technical knowledge tools and transmitting them to distributors teams.
  • Timely & effective launches of new products, prepare and present launch files and related activities.
  • Leading all tender(s), projects, Key accounts projects.
  • Communicate and liaise with global and regional marketing.
  • Prepare, implement, report on, and modify, when necessary, an annual Sales & Marketing Plan
  • Monitor and report on Market shares, competitor activities and market trends to identify market opportunities.
Scope and Resources Accountability, Performance Indicators:

Performance to the Annual Sales & Marketing plan, expenses budgets.
  • Customer satisfaction & retention.
  • Achieving sales, growth, and margin objectives for designated product ranges.
  • Track stocks/orders of distributors of designated product ranges.
  • Updates market data on market shares, prices, volumes, trends.
  • Commercial and technical competence of distributor teams.
  • Building contacts with opinion leaders.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
  • Understanding of the wider African market
  • Proven success with B2B Saas projects from start-up
  • CSuite exposure
  • Computer Knowledge including advanced Excel, database skills, & demonstrated aptitude in data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation and training skills.
  • Advanced degree or equivalent
  • Previous SaaS and Marketing experience of at least 5 years.
  • Significant background experience in a defined market sector.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communicaation skills
