Head of Analytics and Data Science - GautengJob SummaryMinimum Requirements:Essential: B. Honours Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Data Science.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an Actuarial Scientist.At least 2 years of experience in people management.Advantageous: Healthcare experience.Valid Driverxe2x80x99s License and Vehicle. Duties and responsibilities:Manage the Data Science and Analytics department, overseeing its operations and personnel.Provide consistent and high-quality advice and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding Data Science and Analytics matters.Analyse trends, anticipate issues, and establish contingency plans while proactively recommending solutions to identified risks.Provide advice and, if necessary, draft relevant documentation related to CHG Standards, Policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertaining to Data Science, Analytics, and Business Intelligence.Identify innovative approaches to improve business practices, processes, and synergies in order to increase operational efficiencies.Develop and implement Data Science and Analytics strategies and frameworks for the organisation, including the establishment and maintenance of reporting systems.Provide support, guidance, and advisory services to relevant workstreams such as Clinical, Finance, and Hospital Management, to drive operational success.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and effectively manage operational risks within the Data Science and Analytics function.Define and establish an efficient and effective knowledge capture process, utilising suitable tools and reporting mechanisms.Ensure the development and implementation of advanced data-driven models to optimise identified business processes.Utilise Data Science to predict business performance and make informed decisions.Apply Data Science techniques to predict clinical outcomes and enhance patient safety.
