Head: Loan Management Unit (CA (SA))Our esteemed client in the Development Finance Institution (DFI) sector is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead their Loan Management Unit as the Head. This pivotal role will be responsible for meticulously overseeing the end-to-end management of the loan and equity portfolio, playing a key role in shaping the strategic direction and ensuring impeccable execution. Role Overview: As the Head of Loan Management Unit, you will be at the forefront of strategic decision-making and operational excellence. Your primary responsibilities will encompass: Strategic Functions:Setting the strategic vision for Client Administration Control, overseeing the deal administration process from inception to closure.Ensuring strict compliance with credit approval conditions, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.Managing an array of financial assets, including loans, bonds, guarantees, equities, and grants. People Management:Providing effective leadership to direct reports, enabling them to excel in their roles and manage deadlines adeptly.Overseeing team workloads and managing the performance of outsourced providers. Minimum Requirements:Postgraduate degree in Finance coupled with Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification.A minimum of 10 years' experience in corporate lending and loan/portfolio management within the financial sector, with at least 5 years at a management level.Profound understanding of the corporate lending process.Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis/modelling software.Demonstrable experience using systems for loan management and disbursements.Familiarity with legislative frameworks such as IFRS, GAAP, PFMA, King III, MFA, etc.Proven track record of collaboration with CEOs, Executives, Board Committees, Management, and Employees.Ability to prepare comprehensive reports, management reports, presentations, and recommendations for Executive Committees, Boards, and business stakeholders. Desirable Requirements:Exposure to SAP CML would be considered an advantage.Expertise in development finance would be a valuable asset.
