Job Summary

Our esteemed client in the Development Finance Institution (DFI) sector is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead their Loan Management Unit as the Head. This pivotal role will be responsible for meticulously overseeing the end-to-end management of the loan and equity portfolio, playing a key role in shaping the strategic direction and ensuring impeccable execution.

Role Overview: As the Head of Loan Management Unit, you will be at the forefront of strategic decision-making and operational excellence. Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

Strategic Functions:

• Setting the strategic vision for Client Administration Control, overseeing the deal administration process from inception to closure.
• Ensuring strict compliance with credit approval conditions, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Managing an array of financial assets, including loans, bonds, guarantees, equities, and grants.

People Management:

• Providing effective leadership to direct reports, enabling them to excel in their roles and manage deadlines adeptly.
• Overseeing team workloads and managing the performance of outsourced providers.

Minimum Requirements: * Postgraduate degree in Finance coupled with Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification.

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in corporate lending and loan/portfolio management within the financial sector, with at least 5 years at a management level.
• Profound understanding of the corporate lending process.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis/modelling software.
• Demonstrable experience using systems for loan management and disbursements.
• Familiarity with legislative frameworks such as IFRS, GAAP, PFMA, King III, MFA, etc.
• Proven track record of collaboration with CEOs, Executives, Board Committees, Management, and Employees.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive reports, management reports, presentations, and recommendations for Executive Committees, Boards, and business stakeholders.

Desirable Requirements: * Exposure to SAP CML would be considered an advantage.

• Expertise in development finance would be a valuable asset.
