We are looking for a
Senior, experienced Head Field Guide
to lead and manage our safari guiding team and oversee all guiding operations within the reserve. The successful candidate will ensure exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety, conservation, and professionalism.Minimum Requirements
FGASA Professional Field Guide (NQF Level 3 or higher)
Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH)
Trails Guide Training (VPDA)
ValidFirst Aid (Level 2 minimum)
ValidPrDP
Minimum5 years' guiding experience
, with at least2 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservationDuties and Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage the guiding team Ensure compliance with FGASA, reserve, and safety protocols Conduct guided game drives and bush walks Manage guide training, assessments, and performance Oversee safari operations, vehicle standards, and guiding equipment Work closely with lodge management and conservation teams * Ensure guest satisfaction and interpretive excellence
