to take overall responsibility for kitchen and food service operations at our
Woodmead
site. The successful candidate will lead the kitchen team, ensure consistent food quality, maintain compliance with food safety standards, and manage operational and cost controls while delivering an excellent customer dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and oversee the preparation of meals in line with approved menus, recipes, and portion standards.
Lead, supervise, and motivate the kitchen team to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
Maintain and enforce high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation.
Ensure full compliance with
HACCP
, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
Manage stock control, ordering, deliveries, and correct stock rotation (
FIFO
).
Control food costs, minimise waste, and support menu planning and implementation.
Ensure timely preparation and service during all service periods.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures and company policies.
Requirements / Skills
Proven previous experience as a
Chef Manager
.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality, consistency, and presentation.
Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
Ability to work under pressure and manage time, costs, and resources effectively.
Reliable, punctual, and accountable with a hands-on management approach.
Own transport preferred.
