Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the lodge's culinary operations, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea, and any additional catering requirements.
- Create innovative and refined menus that align with the lodge's upscale image and cater to the diverse tastes and dietary preferences of our guests.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently maintained.
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience through exceptional culinary offerings.
- Proven experience as a Head Chef in a 5-star lodge or similar high-end hospitality setting.
- Culinary qualifications from a reputable institution.
- Extensive knowledge of international and contemporary cuisine.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in menu planning.
- Ability to adapt to changing guest preferences and dietary requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and training kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with industry best practices for food safety and sanitation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with kitchen staff, management, and other departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
