Our organisation looking for a versatile Handyman to ensure that the occupied office space at various premises is maintained according to company requirements and Health and Safety legislation. Further, to fix problems as and when they arise.

As a Handyman, you will be responsible for

Maintenance of Assets

• Conduct daily inspections at various sites according to outlined timetable
• Monitor usage of and maintain Audio Visual equipment
• Perform general maintenance and specifically monitor fuel levels on generators and holding tanks with documented checks and sign of by supervisor of that facility
• Clean filters and perform general maintenance on Air Conditioners, as required

Perform general maintenance of relevant bathroom and kitchen equipment

Securing of facilities site

• Lock up Maryvale site on alternating weeks
• Perform checks on Maryvale premises according to daily checklist
• Ensure that all buildings on premises are locked and secured
• Activate alarms for entire site

Asset and Resource Control

• Monitor and control the workshop, including tools and company equipment
• Monitor and control usage of company vehicle, cell phone and computer
• Report any damage, loss or theft of Line Manager, as well as new requirements for specific jobs
• Credit card slips are signed of by manager when items are purchased, and monthly capturing done on time
• Ensure cleanliness of company vehicles
• Ensure a logbook is maintained for any usage of company vehicles

Stakeholder Engagement

• Handle customer queries efficiently and timeously
• Address problems according to SLA requirements
• Provide consistent feedback to customers
• Provide advice and support regarding any ad hoc maintenance requirements

Line Manager Feedback

• Provide daily feedback to Line Supervisor regarding work conducted
• Provide work log to Line Supervisor on a daily basis
• Advise Line Supervisor of any deviation from outlined schedule
• Notify Line Supervisor of any problem that arises which is beyond scope of contro

Requirements

What are we looking for?

To qualify for this role, you should have

• 2-3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in general maintenance, Understanding of Electrical maintenance, Air Conditioning and Generators, Experience in working with Audio Visual equipment and Access Control Systems||Essential / Minimum|0-5 years|
• Valid Drivers License
• Diploma/NQF level 5
• Customer service skills
• Planning & prioritisation
• Communication skills (verbal & written)
• Asset maintenance
• Asset & resource control
