The position is for an upmarket guest house in the Sandton area:

Has nine rooms. Caters for business and leisure travellers (both international and local)

Main Duties

Business development should bring in new business must be able to bring in guests from contacts with the industry. Assist with maintenance and supervision of staff. Checking in and out of guests. Payments via eft, card machine and via the travel IT system. Prompt answering/responding to email queries and forwarding messages to relevant people. Making bookings via the Nightsbridge system. Updating of changes on the Nightsbridge system. Conference bookings and quotations. Liaise with travel agents and maintain relations to keep bookings coming in. Organise guest lunches and dinner. Quotations via the QuickBooks system. Invoicing via the QuickBooks system. Promptly responding to Booking.com bookings and queries. Overflow bookings and coordination. Shuttle bookings and quotations and coordination with driver for pick ups and drop off. Telephone answering. Checking guests as they arrive and welcoming them. Assisting guests as they check out. Ensuring rooms are ready prior to guests checking in. Checking bar fridge stock usage by guests and invoicing them. Control of Bar stock and ordering. Oversee maintenance calls - Plumber, Electrician, Technicians - Cameras, boreholes, aircon, DSTV and TVs etc Stock Control & Ordering of supplies. Supervise the gardeners and repairmen. Ensure the Front Office area is neat and clean. Ensure Front Office music is always on.
Preference is for matured / retired lady.

Pay: R5000,00 - R10000,00 per month
