Job Overview:

Bothabelo Bed and Breakfast is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests have a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment during their stay. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, common areas, and assisting with laundry duties. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and passionate about providing top-quality service to ensure guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and prepare guest rooms, ensuring they meet our high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Sanitize and maintain common areas, including hallways, bathrooms, and kitchen. Make beds, change linens, and restock amenities as needed. Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens. Report maintenance issues and follow up to ensure resolution. Ensure proper storage and organization of cleaning supplies. Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy. Work efficiently with other team members to ensure timely room turnovers. Follow safety and cleanliness protocols to maintain a healthy environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications:

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, especially in a hospitality setting. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and team members professionally. Must be physically able to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. A positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to high standards of service.
