Job Description

The Technical Director for Heinsite Construction Company is the senior-most technical expert, responsible for overseeing all construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Technical Director collaborates with various departments, manages technical teams, and provides strategic direction to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight: Supervise and manage all technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring they meet industry standards and company objectives. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for efficient project execution, including resource allocation, budget management, and timeline adherence. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet the required quality standards, adhering to safety regulations and industry best practices. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor technical teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment with project goals. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in projects and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Budget Management: Oversee the financial aspects of projects, including cost estimation, budget tracking, and financial reporting.

Academic & Trade Qualifications

Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Professional registration with ERB (or equivalent). Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar

Work Experience

Minimum 15 years' experience in engineering, project management, and construction. Strong background in infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, pipelines, and water treatment works. Experience in large-scale water or wastewater infrastructure projects. Sound knowledge of design standards, project controls, ISO compliance, and contract administration. Proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and time constraints
