Purpose:

Monitor, manage & mitigate risks in the group through compliance to Standards & Regulations for the Melomed Group.

Requirements:

xefxbfxbd Current registration with SANC as a General Nurse
xefxbfxbd Post Basic Diploma or equivalent in Critical Care, Infection Control and Occupational Health
xefxbfxbd Minimum 2 yearsxefxbfxbd experience in a similar role
xefxbfxbd Excellent communication skills
xefxbfxbd Excellent interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills
xefxbfxbd Commitment to initiate and implement Quality Assurance improvement programmes in all the relevant portfolioxefxbfxbds
xefxbfxbd Working knowledge of all relevant legislative acts such as Environmental Management, OHS, Health Act and National Institute of Communicable Diseases, OHSC and Department of Health
xefxbfxbd Working knowledge of International Best Practices
xefxbfxbd Proven work experience in Hospital Commissioning
xefxbfxbd Working knowledge of Quality Improvement Processes utilising PDSA cycles
xefxbfxbd Working knowledge of Infection Prevention & Control as well as surveillance & reporting of communicable diseases
xefxbfxbd Leadership qualities and mentoring skills
xefxbfxbd Excellent MS Office computer skills, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Kronos, etc.

Key Outputs:

xefxbfxbd Ensure that all communication improving strategies are maintained and employees are informed of relevant matters in the different forums.
xefxbfxbd Incident management system through reporting, investigating, data analysis and factual approach to decision making.
xefxbfxbd Assist and support management to ensure that the quality management walkabout programmes include non-compliance, improvement action plans and awareness/adherence to policies and work procedures.
xefxbfxbd Comply with legislation & Bylaws relating to the portfolios.
xefxbfxbd Chair the monthly OHS & Infection Control committee meetings.
xefxbfxbd Investigation of all Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI).
xefxbfxbd Review infection control practices in the hospital and simplify and streamline processes
xefxbfxbd Waste management operational functions
xefxbfxbd Conduct and manage compliance of internal and external audits
xefxbfxbd Provide training needs in the abovementioned portfolios
xefxbfxbd Development of policies
xefxbfxbd Mitigate risks through prevention & continuous improvement program
xefxbfxbd Monitor and publish measurement statistics
